SCOPE OF WORK FOR NEW RESIDENTIAL HOMES
Stage 1: Appraisal and definition of the project
- Meeting with the client – preferably onsite so as to get an appreciation of the scope of the project.
- Receive, and appraise the client’s requirements with particular regard to site information, planning requirements. It is at this stage that it is important to receive the necessary documentation such as site development plans, site surveys, existing council plans etc in order to ensure the adherence to the necessary planning and statutory requirements.
- Advise the client on the need for the appointment of consultants and procedures to meet specific requirements.
- Should there not be existing council approved plans available – measure up the site – this will mean that the entire home will have to be drawn up and submitted to council with the facelift, alteration or addition. This has an implication on the quotation and on council submission fees as the council charges submission fees at a rate square meter.
